Welcome

Hi there! Today we are going to learn about something really cool.

YOUR BODY!

Your body is amazing. It helps you run, jump, play, eat yummy food, and give big hugs.

Let's learn about all the parts of your body, from your head all the way down to your toes!

Warm-Up

Let's Try Something Fun!

Here is a little game to start.

Can you touch your nose? Tell me — did you do it?

Your Head

Your Head and Face

Let's start at the very top — your head!

Your head has so many cool parts:

- Eyes — you use them to SEE! You can see colors, shapes, your family, and your favorite toys.

- Ears — you use them to HEAR! You can hear music, birds singing, and people talking.

- Nose — you use it to SMELL! You can smell flowers, cookies baking, and yucky things too.

- Mouth — you use it to TASTE and TALK! You can eat yummy food and say fun words.

Your head also has your brain inside it. Your brain is the boss of your whole body!

Your Eyes

Let's Talk About Your Eyes

Your eyes are so special. They help you see everything around you!

What color are your eyes? Do you know?

Your Arms and Hands

Your Arms and Hands

Now let's move down from your head to your arms and hands!

Your arms and hands can do SO many things:

- Hold things — like your favorite toy or a cup of juice

- Wave — you can say hi and bye to people you love

- Draw and color — you can make beautiful pictures

- Give hugs — the best thing arms can do!

- Clap — you can clap when you are happy

At the end of each hand, you have fingers. Your fingers are great at grabbing small things, like raisins or crayons.

Counting Fingers

Let's Count!

Look at your hands. You have fingers on each hand!

How many fingers do you have? Can you count them all?

Your Legs and Feet

Your Legs and Feet

Now let's go all the way down to your legs and feet!

Your legs are super strong. They help you do so many fun things:

- Walk — you can go to the park, the kitchen, or anywhere you want

- Run — zoom zoom! So fast!

- Jump — up, up, up into the air!

- Dance — wiggle and shake and move to music

- Kick a ball — your legs are great at that

Your feet are at the bottom. They have toes — just like your fingers, but on your feet! You have 10 toes.

Can You Jump?

Jump Time!

One of the coolest things your legs can do is JUMP!

When you jump, your leg muscles push you up off the ground. Your body goes up into the air and then comes back down.

Can you jump? Try it right now! What was it like?

Keeping Your Body Happy

Taking Care of Your Body

Your body does so much for you — so you need to take care of it!

Here are the ways you can keep your body happy and healthy:

- Wash your hands — with soap and water, especially before you eat and after you play outside

- Brush your teeth — to keep your smile nice and strong

- Eat good food — fruits, vegetables, and other yummy healthy foods help your body grow big and strong

- Get lots of sleep — when you sleep, your body fixes itself and grows. Sleep is like charging a battery!

- Play and move — running, jumping, and playing keeps your body strong and happy

Why Wash Hands?

Clean Hands

One of the most important things you can do for your body is wash your hands!

When you play, your hands touch lots of things. Tiny little things called germs can get on your hands. Germs are so tiny you cannot even see them!

If germs get in your mouth or eyes, they can make you feel sick.

Why do we wash our hands? What do we wash away?

You Did It!

You Did It!

Wow, you learned SO much about your body today!

Let's remember what we learned:

- Your head has your eyes, ears, nose, and mouth — and your brain is the boss!

- Your arms and hands can hold things, wave, draw, and give hugs

- Your legs and feet help you walk, run, jump, and dance

- You take care of your body by washing hands, brushing teeth, eating good food, sleeping, and playing

Your body is amazing and it is the only one you have got. Take good care of it!

What is your favorite thing your body can do? It can be anything — running, jumping, hugging, singing, drawing, eating ice cream — anything!
